Caitlin Coreris is an American oil painter working in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her paintings investigate the metaphysical relationship between sound, color, and space. She approaches painting as both a visual composition and a musical structure — where rhythm, balance, and resonance shape the viewer’s experience. Each canvas begins as an exploration of movement and flow: the way color frequencies echo tones in sound, and how structure can emerge organically from a fluid field of gestures and curves.

She draws inspiration from historical artists, including Joan Miró, Hilma af Klint, Henri Matisse and Richard Diebenkorn.

Biography

Caitlin Coreris is an artist from the San Francisco Bay Area, California. She received her Bachelor of Fine Art in 2006 from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, Rhode Island where she studied painting and art history. Her paintings have been in the collection at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Artist’s Gallery and in private collections.
